Is there an easy way to add a "Continue Shopping" button to the cart page?
You could do that in the Pages area. Just add some text to the top of the page and link it to your main shop home page.

Hi, when looking at my items for sale individually, could you make a 'Next' button to go to the next item in that catagory. Rather then having to go back to the Catagory list again and start over.
It would make it so much easier when adding items to the store/cart to click on 'make Next or Back button'.
btw, love ALL of CoffeeCup software!

Hiya Laurenda,
If you're talking about being able to go from item to item inside the shopping cart software, there is a way to do that already in the top right corner of the program. You should see a couple arrows up there and in the middle it shows which item you're working on at the moment.
On the site page, that's another thing altogether and if you're meaning to go from product to product on the shop site itself then no I don't think there's a way to do that at the moment, but don't quote me on it as I haven't looked for that feature as of yet either lol.

I don't think you are going to see that in most cart software. because of categories and how products are listed for instance search results, I think it would be a bit of a navigational nightmare. Not having actually created a shop with this program I don't know all it can do but I don't think people mind too much hitting a back button to go back to the category level to select another product.

Laurenda, I wanted to ask the very same question. It is frustrating having to go back to the category to go on to next product. If we as site owners find it frustrating I'm sure a customer may well find it so too. The rule usually is put it to them, and put it to them easily!
If you don't have too many products you could add at end of each product description a link to next product in category. Probably time consuming and I haven't done it myself yet as I was hoping it may be a feature in the up and coming Pro Version.
I also agree with you too these products are great..

One way I've alleviated just a little bit of clicking is to do what Scott suggests. I added a link to each of the products in a category that will take them back to the category page rather than making them have to click or mouse over the menu and choose the category again. Nothing major, but something that makes it "look" like it's helping and saves just a click or two.
The problem is I bet we can get 25 different opinions on how best to handle the navigation. There is just no way we can accommodate every possible request without making the program overcomplicated. We have to pick what the best options are and incorporate those into the software.
There is a method to our madness even though at times it may not always be clear

I think that folks need to appreciate the diversity of products that will be sold by Cart Creator and the actual purpose of the software. Most online shoppers want to see a picture of the product, read an item description and have a rapid way to pay for that purchase.
If the products have enough interest and are realistically priced then hitting a back button isn't really a problem for a potential customer. It is all too easy to add feature after feature and what you finally end up with, is a clumsy, difficult to configure piece of software that rapidly becomes an absolute nightmare to use.
Keep it simple, keep it clean, have good products on your shops, offer great customer service and your merchanside will sell itself without any perceived needs of 'bells and whistles'.
